What I bought on Black Friday, bespoke stationery for thank-you notes and more!
A little Sunday 10 Things for you!
I have a few upcoming holiday parties on my mind, and I spent some time going through my closet yesterday, trying on outfits, and felt freshly inspired. So take this as your reminder that even with all the holiday sales going on, we have amazing looks already hanging in our closets. All it takes is a little digging for inspiration! And I always think the coolest, most interesting looks are those with a mix of older pieces!!
Earrings. Midi Dress (also avail here). Cuff. Dries Miror. Knee-High Boots.
1. A look that’s always a go-to for me this time of year is a midi dress with knee-high boots (especially in black and ivory combinations). If you’ve been following me for years, you know how I feel about Isabel Marant. Her dresses are the absolute most flattering, and while they’re on the more expensive side, I’ve picked up a couple over the years that have become true staples for me—classic and unique enough that they’ve proven their staying power in my closet. I have a thing for an ivory dress, and the cut of this one is perfect.
Here is another classic silhouette Isabel always does if you’re more of a LBD gal (there’s a skirt version too). And someone needs to snag this sale-score dress—if you’re headed to a warm-weather holiday destination!
2. Loeffler Randall’s boots / sale is not to be missed. I haven’t wanted to spam you with all of the BF sales—so I’m only sharing the brands I wear / am shopping myself. These suede knee-high boots are perfect if you’re in the market. I also own this taller pair if you’re looking for more heel height (40% Off at checkout).
A couple of other shoe / boot sales not to miss: Emme Parsons (chic pumps, moccasin & sandals!), Freda Salvador (rain boots), Margaux (comfy ballet flats & classic boots)
Flannel Bedding. Champagne Flutes. Diamond Sweater. Floral Print Dress* *updated: sold but found another one (and size M)! Stationery. Saint Laurent Pumps.
3. In home things—I ordered us new flannel sheets this weekend (we have their Signature sheets on both our master bedroom and our guest bed—and they’re the best). I bought flannel sheets for the kids this season (I ordered these) and realized I didn’t get any for us!! So I’m very excited!
4. I am craving a post-Christmas cabin getaway—and the fair isle sweater to wear next to the fire. I can’t quite get fair isle sweaters off my mind! I shared this really luxe one with you. If you’re looking for one amazing sweater splurge this season this is it! (I found this one with a similar feel for less, under $170). And I have been diving deep on TRR looking for others… not fair isle, but I also really love this one. Give me all of the oversized cashmere-silk blend / cozy layers!!
5. Also on my mind—mixing old with new (always!) when it comes to holiday dressing. Pull out those older pieces from the back of your closet and style them in a fresh way for all the festive fêtes. In my Real Real searches for—black-tie / cocktail attire: I love any dress that feels like that rare vintage find. This subtle floral print is very me!… and if you’re a size 6 and on the hunt for a classic party pump.
6. Bespoke stationery for thank you notes! I pulled out my Jaymes Paper stationery yesterday for a few thank-you notes, and they bring me so much joy to send. They’re extra thick, gorgeous, and the embossed letterpress feels so special. I have a set with my initials, and you can choose your envelope color too. Another great small brand to support!
A few other sales worth noting this weekend |
7. Not as exciting but necessary—I know a lot of you like Eby’s bras and seamless underwear and they’re currently buy 1, get 1 free. They have a great t-shirt bra!
And another go-to t-shirt bra of mine is 15% Off.
8. Also, in the category of not-so-exciting but necessary purchases—a refresh of your workwear staples. Which feels better during sale season. Theory’s sale is a good one. I personally love a cropped cashmere tee and this cashmere pant and hoodie set would be a nice treat for around the house.
9. For the guys—I shopped Todd Snyder’s sale for T! I love him in these crewnecks / sweaters, and he has this hoodie as well as this jacket that would be great gifts.
10. I also ordered new tights for this holiday season. I like this pair when I want a sheer black tight, and this pair for a more opaque black option.

Your TRR finds are always spot on. That floral dress feels like the perfect holiday one and done.
