5 Great Pairs of Black and Red Summer Sandals
Chic summer in the city vibes!
It’s no secret that A.Emery is one of my go-to sandal brands (I’ve been wearing for a few years now). I have a couple styles that are making this list and topping it at the moment is the Kinto Sandal if you’re looking for that chic but elevated simple summer sandal. The leather straps are supple and soft while the platform is sturdy but breaks in nicely. I found them comfortable upon first wear but also a stiffer sandal that holds up nicely (why I love my A.Emery styles) and look chic for that summer in the city style.
I own these in the soft ivory Eggshell color but all of the colors are great and of course you can’t go wrong with black. I’m tempted to snag another color as they’re that good of an option to have on hand for summer styling. I think of these as a dressy summer sandal… very The Row with wide leg pants and simple dresses.
If you have a wider footbed you may prefer / want to check out The Morgan Sandal instead.

I don’t own these but have had this pair from Essen on my wish list for some time after seeing them on various friends online! I’ve heard they’re very comfortable and I just love the minimal barely there straps (always so flattering). They’re so fun in the red but also come in a few other great basic colors including black as well.

Speaking of Madewell, another fun red sandal option if you’re looking for one. This knotted design also makes this a dressier style to jazz up your summer denim or skirts.
The other A.Emery style I own that I love for a chicer summer sandal option is the Carter Leather Slide (also here). These break in nicely and have worn so well over the past year or two I’ve owned them (they still look brand new).
Note: I have always taken my true size in A.Emery (36) but if you’re in between I would size up!
Freda Salvador also just recently launched their own barely there leather summer sandal, the Alexia, that is perfect! Freda makes the best shoes (comfort, craftsmanship ~ they truly wear and last for years).

Alicia you’ve got to pull the trigger on the Essen sandals! I have not found another paid of sandals to be as comfortable as these for walking — and they are so stunning on.
