You can't go wrong with an all-black and navy sneaker uniform!
I’m up early sipping my morning coffee before heading to my yoga class — it’s been a cozy, gray and rainy week… and I thought I’d hit send on a few quick things worth noting for your Friday!
1. Wearing On Repeat | It was a busy week, just focusing on my kids ~ so I lived in a uniform: this crewneck* (in gray and black) with black jeans and the navy blue calf-hair Sambas I shared recently. The navy and black combination just always feels cool. If you missed out on the navy calf-hair pair which sold out quickly… this navy pair gives the same look and just hit the NAP site this morning!
I’m a serial outfit repeater most days of the week and this is my ideal mom-life combo. Sneakers that make the look and an easy all-black / denim combo. A roll of the sleeves for that effortless styling, add jewelry, your coat and call it a day. Any sweater that has a sweatshirt-like fit is my go-to.
* I took a size small (one size up)
(Wearing with these Dorsey hoops & my Khaite sunglasses ~ both also on repeat)
Navy & Black…
2. My Ideal Date Night / Girls’ Night Out Top | This top (and dress) from Ciao Lucia gives me all of the Olsens vibes! And is exactly what I want to wear with jeans on my next date night out.
3. Holiday Clutch | If you’re starting to think about the holidays ~ this clutch will make every outfit. Unique, cool… love a tassel! Perfect with a simple satin black blazer for your husband’s office holiday party, a slip dress or just with jeans.
4. Love A Good Collab | Speaking of J.Crew ~ I’m sure you already saw but the new Alex Eagle x J.Crew Collab that launched this week is the perfect fall capsule.
Favorites of mine from the collab are: this crewneck, the red ribbed long-sleeve t-shirt for layering / styling, this Tale of Two Sohos baseball cap… the dark denim jacket and these black sneakers.
If you’re not already following Alex Eagle (@eagletta) on Instagram, she’s one of my absolute favorites for inspiration and cool mom style!
5. Finding the Right Leather Jacket Fit | I’ve had a number of questions about finding the right fit / length leather jacket for us shorter gals… and I have to say, I grab for my more cropped styles that hit at my waist the most. a) they feel really wearable for everyday / events etc... and are easy to style because they become your “top” with jeans or over dresses and skirts. and b) It’s flattering to show the waistline (making the legs look longer).
I’m wearing an older chocolate brown version of the Clint from Nour Hammour. (This season’s brown is really good and there’s also the vintage brown.)… and the Dalma (above) is another great, very similar option in dark brown. It’s a cleaner version, without the zippers, that honestly I kind of prefer over mine had it been available when I bought mine. Very similar look to Saint Laurent.
Another cropped minimal, classic leather jacket style is the Bleecker
And if you’re taller and looking for an oversized style I think you’d love the Beck (seen on me here)

Love all these ideas!!Can you please remind me - which black denim do you recommend for your weekend/soccer mom uniform?
Curious to know which size you took in the Nour Hammour? Thanks!
