Sweatshirt life. The Olsen (Spring Trench) Effect. And 6 Faves To Snag in the Sephora Sale...
I’ve been thinking a lot about the staples I truly spend most of my days in. And how to make those basics feel a bit more styled. I do think it always comes down to the right basics (how they fit / feel and quality). And then adding your touch… the little ways you tuck your sweatshirt in, a roll of the sleeves and this week especially,… Dorsey’s Paracord Necklace has been just the accessory to give it that something cool for me! Who snagged one? And what color did you go with?!
I share a lot of style collages and inspiration here (and get a lot of things gifted for brand projects) ~ but let this be your friendly reminder to wear our older staples on repeat! I don’t think we see enough of that on social and this was one of those weeks I lived in the same mom-mode pieces... some I’ve had for years. And felt really good about those tried-and-true staples. Gotta love that sweatshirt life! (It’s also been that spring trench life for me lately too.)
Living that sweatshirt life (size down ~ it runs on the longer side)... but this is a good knock-around one to workout in / lounge around in and take your kids to sports activities in etc. This is another sweatshirt staple of mine for mom-mode,… it’s more of a cropped fit. And this has been my most worn sweatshirt this past fall / winter (a splurge-worthy one from Suzie Kondi for an elevated sweatshirt vibe). The black is a nice darker black which I wanted… and it just looks nicer than your average sweatshirt… perfectly boxy too!
I’ve also been living that spring trench life. I really should have included this trench in my Spring Capsule as it’s such a good one. Another not all trenches are created equal… dreamy, elegantly draped trench! It is super lightweight, comfortable and just feels so good on. It’s kind of all I’ve been grabbing for… as it makes the look. It sold out on Toteme but I found all sizes here and a few sizes left here *(I wear size 30, and it’s quite long / oversized as Toteme always is so size down. If you’re under 5’4 you’d probably want the 30 as well).
But let’s chat coat length! If there’s one thing The Olsens have taught me (as someone who is also 5’1’’)… it’s that long coats work on us too! And actually this Olsen Effect… of going as long as possible with our coat lengths is very elongating. People always think I’m taller than I am and a big part of this, I think, is simply in how I dress.
A little Inspector Gadget… but chic?!
A clean kitchen and my favorite colors in tulip form ~ brought me all the joy on a rainy gray day earlier in the week.
The Shower Line Up | Rōz Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner. Salt & Stone Body Wash. Rōz Hair Mask. IS Clinical Cleansing Complex.
I shared What’s In My Spring Beauty Bag … and now here’s what I’ve been keeping stocked in my shower lately and in my medicine / beauty cabinet. All of my favorites are here!
Skincare Routine | Tatcha Cleansing Oil. IS Clinical Cleansing Complex. iNNBeauty Extreme Cream.
* If you’re a big Sephora shopper ~ then you know the big bi-annual Spring Savings Event starts for the Rouge level today (with code: SAVEMORE)…
Here’s what I’d snag from the Sephora Sale:
All things Rōz! The Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner and the Milk Serum are my ultimates from Rōz ~ these have been game changers for me… my hair has never dried this smooth and frizz-free before! The Mini Essentials Kit has all of my favorites which is nice if you’re wanting to try / travel with.
Salt & Stone’s Body Wash! Lathers up nicely, smells great… and with clean ingredients.
Tatcha Cleansing Oil. A holy grail of cleansing oils I came back to again recently as it’s been keeping my skin really happy. I always breakout if I get lazy with my double cleansing evening routine ~ and this is such a good one for removing makeup.
iNNBeauty’s Extreme Cream Moisturizer ~ anti-aging, firming and very hydrating. Loving this moisturizer in comparison to other expensive ones… it’s been keeping my skin clear and not overly greasy. I’ve also swapped and have been using their eye cream (another great save option in comparison to other pricier eye creams!).
Hanni’s In Shower Splash Salve. I recently restocked the Splash Salve and the Cocoon Cleanse Solid Body Serum (a hydrating cleanser in bar form)… both of these have helped my dry skin so much! If you’re curious to try there’s also this mini discovery kit.
All things Westman Atelier! WA makes up most of my makeup bag. I love absolutely everything and would restock the Super Loaded Tinted Highlighter (in Peau de Soleil) which is my go-to for a spring / summer bronzer.
I was shocked when you said you were 5'1"! I definitely assumed taller from your photos. And great call on stocking up on Roz during the Sephora Sale 💚
Hi! Will you share where your kitchen pendant cloud light is from? I’ve been eyeing a few!
