There’s just something so chic about a barely there nude or thin strapped sandal. A heel obviously elongates the leg creating long lines but a flat can create the same effect (when you’re not feeling a heel!). As someone who’s 5’1’’ the illusion of making my legs look as long as possible (I mean, lol)… is something I think about!
Sandal Styles That Elongate The Legs |
- sandals (in a close match to your skin tone ~ or a clear jelly!) create a long line that visually extends the legs
- delicate, minimal straps don’t cut off the line of the leg (in any color if the straps are daintier) ~ chunkier sandals with thick straps can shorten the appearance of the leg
- T-strap sandals also create a vertical line ~ drawing the eye upward, creating the illusion of longer legs
A Few Styles I’m Eyeing |
This beige pair from Amanu (as well as this pair) feel a bit more interesting with the moonstone gem on the toes. Sophisticated and one of those sandals that replaces a heel for a dressier occasion or summer evening.
These (or this t-strap sandal or my trusty Tkee flip flops ~ I’ve worn for years) are all great options… especially if you’re not wanting anything too nice / will be walking through the sand on your way to dinner.
Aquazzura has a classic barely there t-strap (more colors here, similar save)
Emme Parsons also has a great t-strap sandal in red that I love for that pop of color (also comes in black and silver)
Minimal thin straps but I love the unexpected design of this one… so good!
For a dressier gold shimmer vacation sandal
Another chic simple nude sandal from Emme Parsons (also love this version!)
