A Little Something For Everyone!... A Dress For Every Occassion
Answering more of your IG Q's with a spring edit from Nordstrom
Ok I’m getting back to the rest of the IG Q’s you sent my way last week (it’s always so fun to hear how I can make these edits more helpful… and where you are going / what you have coming up to get dressed for)! This is truly what sparks the most joy for me ~ thinking about styling and getting dressed with specific occasions and destinations in mind! Since a lot of you are on the dress hunt I pulled together a few options to hopefully drum up a little inspiration.
I’m partnering with Nordstrom on today’s Substack and took a browse through their new arrivals to find a little something for everyone. From the spring wedding guest to summer office dressing… island style and a casual Northern California getaway (hiii, that one is me!)… I’d personally wear every look.
Spring Wedding / Event Dressing |
The below green dress red earring image has been on my saved Pinterest board for a while now (my ideal special event look when craving color)! And this midi dress is the closest match to that exact shade of green that I’ve come across… and would be so good worn with red accessories or heels like these from Khaite (here’s a nice lower heel height option which I happen to own in nude and a save heel option under $130).

I’m also such a fan of a printed pant for those more semi-casual occasions and vacation dressing which can easily be dressed up or worn more casually with a flat sandal. Also, just so comfortable!!
Here’s another dressier pant you’ve seen me wear for years now in the cream… that is a go-to for me for everything from dinners out to house parties. So comfy but feel like you’re in pajamas.

I’m very particular when it comes to floral prints. Often they feel too sweet or young on me these days… but the brown really grounds the floral print in this dress. Again, I’m partial to a red sandal with this one… or a nude, or a gold flat sandal would work well for a beach destination.
This cream dress (also avail in black) is one of those dresses I should just snag already because I’ve kept it in mind for a while now to wear for those nicer occasions that seemingly pop-up out of no where. It’s one of those staples you’d wear and have in your closet for years. Another elegant one! I love the way it moves when you walk.
Northern CA Getaway / Weekend with the Fam |

An easy t-shirt dress for casual days spent with the family ~ but this is a nicer one, to take you from day outings to dinner. Here’s another more fitted tee dress or this save option (under $60) that would also be comfy for bump dressing or over your swimsuit.
Island Style / Summer Conference |

A chic strapless dress for the minimalist dresser… very The Row!
A floral linen skirt to wear over your swimsuit ~ a beach to lunch type skirt. Or I also like this floral linen mini for all of you with warm weather spring break plans.
This khaki cotton skirt and top combo is perfect for any more conservative events, warm weather conferences and office dressing.
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post (I do make a small commission from any of links you shop). As always, thank you for supporting my content! I hope it’s helpful!! xx
This is SO helpful. Ordering the floral brown and will wear with suede cowboy boots for a Western themed wedding. Thank you for putting this together, your style choices are impeccable.
Curating looks for specific events is one of my fav pastimes, probably why I have event dressing down, but my casual everyday style is my least fav to style for myself 🫠🤪and the one I’m determined to focus more on this season and next. Loved this post! Do you ever take styling clients? There’s honestly very few people I’ve come across where I would trust their taste and you’re definitely one of them.
