Playlist: April Chill.

I actually made this playlist in early March, but it’s taking me through April now too. I was looking for a song to add to an Instagram Reel (side note: do we even like Reels / music on those or is it annoying to have music pop out at you mid-scroll?!)… and it was one of those random artist finds that took me down a rabbit hole. It’s sort of a poppy, girly, calming, upbeat playlist… all of the things that put me in a happy mood. I love a good podcast but I’ve mostly been listening to music on my daily walks lately. It’s just nice to let your mind wander… and if I’m overwhelmed or anxious music always cures my mood / picks me up!

My girlfriend has this saying “I’m just keeping it breezy”… that we now joke around about, and I thought it was a good tag line for an April Mood. I want to keep channeling that spring chill and breezy! ~ because in reality I’m in that head down lots of work and balancing of the kids activities at the moment. My girlfriend threw this breezy line out at a time when she actually wasn’t “breezy” which is the joke. Like when you want to appear like you didn’t try (i.e. planning your look for a first date ~ when in reality you put a whole lot of thought and effort into it LOL).

But let’s just keep that spring mood breezy for real.

If you’re somewhere in-between April showers and spring flowers … I’m kind of feeling a sporty meets linen pants / floral dress mix for this week. And darker accessories.

Some noteworthy things …

I’m all about the platform sandal. I finally just realized I think part of the reason I don’t love spring / summer style is that I always feel so short around my friends in flat sandals. I keep talking about this but at 5’1’’ I’m wanting to feel more my age when it comes to style these days and a few extra inches really gives me that confidence boost. Last summer I finally found a platform sandal and lived in them. Here’s a sporty vibe I like and I like this one for mom-life and to contrast sweeter / floral dresses.

Posse has some cute new arrivals! ~ this mini is so chic (a few more sizes here but hopefully they’ll restock as it is a nice sophisticated one for city summer meetings / events etc.). This sweet mini is perfect for those hot summer days (also comes in a maxi), and I really like this gilet top (similar to my Tibi top! which I’m loving for easy spring styling with denim).

Also super cute new spring finds on Sezane right now. My basket bag now comes in this really pretty raffia with sand leather detailing.
