You’ve been asking for home reno updates!… so let’s start with our laundry room (turned mudroom).

We made the majority of our home renovations back when we first bought our house 8+ years ago now which I truly can’t believe it’s been that long. It’s an older home (built in 1940)… and like most of the homes in our neighborhood, with the historic charm comes some old lady quirks. This round of home reno projects has been all about maximizing and adding more storage where we could.

The final room in our house to get some love and attention was our neglected laundry room. What started as wanting to turn this space into a mudroom / pantry and true extension off of the kitchen … opened a whole can of worms, and I ended up adding quite the number of house projects to our wishlist this past year. Whoops! It’s truly been a labor of love and what I’ve realized with homeownership (especially with an older home)... is the projects feel never ending. Which I guess makes it all the more rewarding in the end! Or are you ever done? I like the idea of our homes evolving with us over the years.
