A little SF mom off-duty! ~ inspired by my time in Pacific Heights this week… it’s hard to beat a morning walk (coffee in hand) through that neighborhood! Ocean views and dreamy design. I layered up… swapping my sneakers and ballet flats during the day for boots in the evening for a long overdue dinner with my college girlfriends.
Pacific Heights Mom Off-Duty Style |
Cropped denim (lighter wash, another cropped staple of mine is the Ren which comes in a number of washes) to wear with flats and sneakers. A cropped denim style is the most practical in SF because you don’t want to be stepping all over your jeans when walking up those hills.
Mix-matched earrings for a touch of edge. I was talking to a women that had the coolest mix of earrings on ~ a gold bar earring and mixing diamonds with silver. And it really made her entire look.
Wrap sweaters in wool and alpaca for warmth. Thin turtlenecks, v-necks and hooded sweatshirts for layering under longer coats.
Fun sneakers and edgier flats (the Alaïa flats are on my spring wish-list)…
And ballet flats for those hills. Margaux launched a new style that feel like a slightly more feminine version of The Row ~ and also come in leopard print if you’re feeling a dose of animal print and bone is pretty with the black strap.
Laura Manoogian Wrap Sweater. Sunglasses. V-Neck Sweater (another staple of mine for layering 20% off). Foundrae Earring. Raffia Bag. Laura Manoogian Sweater. Hooded Sweatshirt. Toteme Jacket. Agolde Jeans (more sizes). Leather Jacket. Alaïa Flats.
Cos Parka. VB Lip Balm. Cos Short Trench. Hooded Sweatshirt. Toteme Outerwear. Dry Shampoo. Loewe Bag. Sneakers. Frame Straight Leg Denim.
The very best dry shampoo for those mom-life days of unwashed hair. And have you tried Crown Affair’s shampoo and conditioner yet?! I won’t stop raving about the hydrating duo and Roz’s hair serum... and that my hair dries so much smoother now!
Freda Boots of course… an SF mom staple! *code: 10ALICIA
Raffia and suede bag for texture and an early nod to spring.
I saw a touch of leopard on the streets.
JW Anderson Fleece. Trench. Sunglasses. Laura Manoogian Sweater. Nili Lotan Pants. Raffia Bag. Black Denim. Alaïa Flats. Leopard Sneakers.
Be sure to take in the Lyon Street Step view of the Palace of Fine Arts. And if staying in the area the Drisco Hotel is a gem of a boutique hotel! I just stayed there this week and the rooms are lovely… such a comfortable bed and they serve a yummy happy hour and breakfast in the morning that’s free for guests which is always a nice bonus. It feels like such a cozy safe hotel to stay in especially since I was by myself.
Walk over to Fillmore Street and Sacramento Street for bites and shopping. Don’t miss stopping into a personal fave of mine: McMullen Boutique… I always leave inspired by Sherri’s edit. And grab a light kale salad at As Quoted if by yourself or wanting something on-the-go before hitting the road home...
Loved this! What are the brown jeans you are wearing?!
