Everything I Wore in Cabo

We just got back from a long weekend in Cabo which felt like the official kick off to summer in the best way! It was also a good reminder for any summer resort vacations and packing… that even though I packed lightly… I still only wore half of what I brought. When I’m staying at a nice resort I rarely ever want to leave the property (beach / pool)… once I’ve hit that vacay-mode button. Our days were primarily spent in our swimsuits and less time in any of the day clothes / dresses we packed for dinners. Honestly, that’s the sign of a vacation well spent!! I could have swapped out less dresses and made room for extra sunscreen and a hair mask / serum.

That said, I’m linking everything I packed for you (some pieces are a few years old / sold out)… so I am linking a few similar pieces...

Carry-On Raffia Bag | This is a great larger raffia bag size that I used as my carry-on. It’s huge but can easily fold up and fits nicely under the seat. I packed my sneakers (for the gym ~ that I barely used, ha)… my book, magazines, sweater, snacks, etc… with plenty of extra room. Another nice sized raffia option and this one too.

Raffia Purse | I put my raffia purse inside the larger Cos bag when boarding. The Khaite Lotus bag was a purchase last summer and I have to say, pulling it back out again for this trip I was a reminder of how great it is. The shape feels unique and it can also hold a good amount (available in natural here).

Sandals |

A.Emery Sandals I wore these on the plane and to and from the pool / beach. These are by far my most worn simple minimal black sandal style. I like these over other pairs because of how narrow the fit is. Oh and I just got this style in the eggshell and it’s another really good slim / flattering leather style. Their wider footbed styles are too big on me personally.

White Tee. (I also brought this tank which is a perfect summer tank)

Linen Shorts. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a white linen short and these fit me really well / are super comfy. I know I’m going to live in them this summer.

Accessories |

Gold Chain. (fun sea shell charm necklace … this one too).

Black Sandals *my girlfriend Lindsay brought her brown pair!

Johanna Ortiz Dress (older ~ pretty new season floral print) and Gold Sandals (similar).

Dress (maxi dress version). Sandals. Sunglasses.

This Isabel dress is pricey but it’s giving me the romantic summer vibes I have been craving. I have a few Isabel dresses I’ve bought over the years that I continue to pull back out season after season.

Crochet Dress on sale (something fun / similar!)... another option I love. Sandals.

*I came home with some interesting tan lines ;P not sure what happened with my sunscreen application on day two

If you’re craving a fun little beaded bag that sparks joy and doesn’t break the bank ~ my girlfriend Ana brought this one to dinner and it’s so cute in person ($30).

I’m a big summer whites girl (black too)… and this sweet dress checks all of my boxes. (I wear this bra underneath for more sheer summer styles / any white tees).

Brown Cos Linen Dress (was my travel day dress). I have in size 2 and it’s nice longer midi length on me.

I also packed my Suzie Kondi sweatshirt / set and it continues to prove to be a most worn / ideal set for travel... and summer lounge.

Lastly, What I Didn’t Pack and Wished I Had |

I always pack my mini toiletries and fill up these (on sale!) with my face wash etc. But since I went straight from the pool to dinner most nights… showering of course but no time for blow drying my hair… I do wish I had brought along my Roz Hair Milk Serum. Or a leave in conditioner. My hair was feeling very dry from that Mexican sun.

I also wish I had brought along a richer body balm. I lathered up in this one* when back home and my skin soaked it right up (code: ALICIA10). It’s my favorite!
