Pulling Style Inspo. These Dries Sandals!... thinking about Mom.
a fun party / wedding guest dress... and more!
Kisses before dinner! xoxo
Wearing satin pants from Vince (I have shared these various times now because I wear them all the time ~ mine are a few years old in ivory, but here is a new season color and this new cotton version would be a great option too which comes in ivory and black as well). I love this pant so much it’s truly like wearing pajamas to dinner! It is the perfect year round pant, but this linen style would be great for spring / summer.
This top is SO fun (more sizes here). I’m obsessed. I would size down ~ it’s a little big on me but also probably because I don’t have the boobs to fill it out. So there’s that. (I’m wearing the 0 ~ I’m usually a 0/2… but should have gone with the 00).
Oh and Net-a-Porter has a black version too in more sizes available! And this bustier top / skirt set that is another great option for an event. I love this top just with denim, a simple slingback or mule and a blazer for dinner or cocktails.
Top and Skirt Set. Jeans. Earrings. Sunglasses (also here). Dress. Pants. Sandals. Bag.
I pulled together a little Spring Simplicity edit on my blog and here are a few items I’m currently wish listing… perhaps a little happy Mother’s Day to me?
I’m obsessed with these pants for an event!!
And these Dries sandals are also on my wishlist at the moment! Interesting and cool with the curved heel and ties (which are removable).
For the city minimalist. I always come back to these top pics of Ashley. The all ivory is an easy one to recreate with basics from your closet and always feels effortless and chic this time of year.
I like pulling inspiration from photos then looking at my closet to see how I can recreate something similar (i.e.: this white skirt, these sandals in black or the eggshell and a knit over would be an easy spring look).
I could use a tan… but was too excited to wear this top!
Stacked bracelets are Lie Studio (another silver cuff crush) and Foundrae.
Don’t get me started on my Mother’s Day jewelry wish list. I don’t even bother asking or showing T because it’s a bit of a dream list that’s never ending. But always fun to gather inspo and drool!! I do love this necklace for something fun.
Lizzie Fortunato always brings the playful pieces I want to wear for a night out during these warmer months.
Pink Beaded Necklace. Andros Beaded Necklace.
Jewelry jokes aside (but jewels are always welcome!) ~ all mom really wants is quality time with the fam and the morning / afternoon off. I asked for a date day with T.
All on my Mother’s Day Wish List: Brunch with my mom. Spa day / quality time with girlfriends. Low key quiet morning… lingering coffee and to go to a workout class. A wine bar date with girlfriends. Dinner with the fam somewhere delicious but also with a vibe. Snuggles and cards from my kids. A day date with Tanner.
*Guys this dress is beyond happy and fun! I don’t think I’ve ever pre-ordered a dress faster (I ordered the orange version last fall or whenever the Spring 24 Alémais collection was available on Moda, and it just arrived a week ago). I’m obsessed and think it’s such a fun one for a party. It’s a structured satin with a nice thickness to it ~ it’s the perfect wedding guest dress with a low heel or you could easily wear it with a simple sandal on vacation too. It does run a little big on me (at 5’1’’ in the size 2) so I’ll probably have it shortened. Gotta show off those pale legs!! LOL.
Oh and PS!: It’s a very exciting week! Outside garden inspo pulling because we are officially breaking ground on our backyard this week and putting in a pool. We have gone through various phases with our backyard so this is a story for another day but that Sacramento heat will get to you… and with two little swimmers now we are very excited to have our own little swimming hole!!
xx Alicia
I always get so inspired by the things you share - you have such a good eye for colour
