Rediscovering Your (Warm Weather) Style.
My Personal Styling Recipe. And a few simple looks from my week.
I am such a fall / winter style person that I felt lost for years there when it came to warmer weather dressing.
Coming out of those early post-baby years… I just felt completely in a style funk… but it was especially evident in the warmer weather months for me. I don’t think it was truly until more recently again that I’ve rediscovered… (or evolved?) into understanding what my spring / summer style vibe is.
If you’re like me and a big part of your style revolves around throwing on your favorite denim and the jacket / boots make the look, I couldn’t quite figure out how this translated into warmer weather days… or how to make the most simple outfits feel a bit more styled or like me.
Wearing | Denim Jacket. Jeans (also here). Tank. Sandals. Bag.
The thing is, personal style really does take some thought and effort. And in those early baby years who has the time to think about what to wear? I came out of those years a little clueless... and careless… until I did care again. Also older… and wanting a bit more of an elevated, polished style that felt a bit more intentional and less disheveled when I showed up to things. (Let’s be honest I’m still rolling in a hot mom mess half of the time to school drop off… )
If you put some time into better understanding what styles speak to you (I think Pinterest is the best source of discovery)… then you can get back to what feels right… for you.
Here’s some warmer weather styling notes that have helped me when thinking about my closet / getting dressed / making any purchases / and have made me more excited about warm weather style…
