Mid-September into October is always busy for me but is my favorite stretch of weeks! There are lots of Libra birthdays (mine included) and hangs within my inner circle… and the excitement about the change of seasons with the holidays on the horizon just always makes me so happy! When my birthday was coming up and I was thinking about my ideal day, I knew I just wanted something low-key. I thought I’d share what we did because this truly makes for the best / easy SF day (with or without kids)…
An Ideal Day in SF with kids (that’s fun for you too)…
Walk Around / Shop Jackson Street: Blue Bottle Coffee (on Montgomery St) is on the corner if you’re in need of a walking coffee ~ or grab a pastry at the adorable French-inspired cafe down the block: Maison Nico before shopping around in the area. Be sure to pop into: William Stout Books and Scott Richards Contemporary Art.
Lunch: Cotogna (order the pesto pizza!) ~ Cotogna is an SF classic that always hits the spot and has the best outside parklet seating in the city. It’s dreamy!, and when thinking of my own birthday this was all I wanted. A little outside lunch date with my family. It was such a warm day (actually we were not dressed right!) and Cotogna had their farm stand and gelato cart out on the corner which is adorable!
The MOMA is always easy with kids as an afternoon activity and has a special exhibit right now by the amazing foundation, Creative Growth. Or swing by a park ~ Presidio Tunnel Tops is an easy fave (if the kids are older we bring a soccer ball to the top field for Rex now) with a yummy cafe: Il Parco. You can grab wine and beer, pizza, salads and treats. With the best views.
Dinner: Little Original Joe’s (have you been to this new spot yet? my SF girlfriends think this is the best pizza and vibe in the city at the moment)… also, a tried and true, that never disappoints and is easy with kids: Foreign Cinema (I like that you can dress up here and yet it’s still casual ~ you can go either way depending on your mood).
SF Casual Inspired via | Earrings. Zodiac Signet. Jacket. Sweater. Tote. Levi’s. Sneakers.
There are actually more bright neon sweater pops in SF than you might expect! Just out to dinner on Friday I saw orange, chartreuse and a fun stripe.
SF Inspired Easy Casual Style…
This bright striped sweater makes me happy!
I’m loving Dorsey’s Drop Earrings stacked… as well as these bar studs stacked. They make such a cool statement and easy way to jazz up a simple sweater and denim look too for dinner out in the evening.
Shearling and reversible suede jacket ~ wear now on those cool foggy SF mornings (another gorg suede option from Dôen).
This Toteme leather tote (also available in brown croc and brown) is the ideal shoulder bag size! I had a hard time deciding what color but finally pulled the trigger on classic black and it’s even more gorgeous in person / buttery soft and a great size that is comfortable to carry over your shoulder.
Morning Park Date with kids | Sweatshirt. Sunglasses.
This is the perfect cropped sweatshirt. It hits at just the right spot to wear with denim, and I’m so into these seasonal chocolate brown and dark green colors for fall.
PJs to pack for your overnight. These are SO soft and comfy! (I’m usually a sweatpants person but I showed up to breakfast at my sister’s in these this week and even my brother-in-law made a comment about looking pulled together for my morning latte). This is another great lounge set that I wear from LAKE as well as this one.
Love the Toteme tote, I have the brown in my cart currently debating.
Love that Blazé Milano shearling! Great edit 😍
