The Best of March
Noteworthy March! Shopbop Sale Faves, Celine cutie, and thinking about those more sentimental pieces...
Let’s do another round of favorites?! Because that’s always fun to see! Here’s the best of March.
What You’re Loving | The Top 5
Levi’s 90 Jeans *included in the Shopbop sale
Freda Open Weave Ballet Flat *code: 10ALICIA for new customers
** ok this is actually an ideal spring outfit
Add To Cart | Last Day of the Shopbop Sale (code: STYLE)
Today is the final day of Shopbop’s big Spring Sale (up to 25% off when you spend $800)… here are my updated Shopbop Hearts and what I’d add to cart…
Comfy spring sneakers, a great scoop neck tank and this hoody are all mom life staples
Easy summer dress (under $80)
These pants and a black ribbed tank to go with for cool sports mom on the sidelines
This chic dress for an upcoming event
Red sandal for some color
Wearing | an older Massimo Duti Jacket (but how good is this new linen version)… I like that it gives a sporty-ish cool girl vibe to any sweet spring dress
And my dress is an older one as well from Dôen (although you could recreate a similar look with: this skirt, this dress, this dress or this one too ~ Mango is nailing the summer white dresses btw).
*I wear this nude slip underneath dresses like this (and I also have the skirt slip)
Dôen New Chapter Favorites |
These shorts (more sizes here) which I’m picturing worn with a basic oversized tee or sweater, sweatshirt and sandals (something more like this sandal to contrast the lace and sweetness)
Green skirt (but of course!, I have this one from last year in chartreuse)
The sweetest little girl’s dress for Easter
Strapless Dress. Shorts. Necklace. Floral Dress. Sandal.
Adding a touch of edge with the necklace and sandals… and darker accessories which is usually my vibe.
These heeled sandals are really cool / more interesting in person than they look here. And the heel height it really nice (not too short, not too tall). I walked some SF hills in them yesterday no problem.
Oh and there’s nothing like the first 80* day to remind you that you’re in desperate need of a pedicure!
Noteworthy March Faves of Mine…
Best of the Sephora Sale (everything is on sale with code: SAVEMORE) ~ Such a good time to stock up on beauty and skincare! My top picks to try are:
Rōz Shampoo / Condition and Hair Milk Serum if you haven’t already. I sound like a broken record with Rōz but you can see how much smoother my hair dries using this combo here. I’m obsessed!
Westman Atelier has taken over my makeup bag over the past few years (I’d snag this blush / bronzer for spring).
Also, this translucent setting powder for taking the shine away. I use it in the afternoons / evenings when I want a little refresh (without adding more makeup on).
I just reordered / stocked up on this Tatcha makeup remover.
Jellies and Raffia: The spring weather has been lovely and I’ve officially pulled back out my jellies from last summer and my raffia bags. The white woven bag is sold out (The Row) but here’s a similar save ~ and the green woven bag is available here. This has been a longtime most carried bag of mine, and is an ideal size for toting around kid activities (coloring books, games etc. when we eat out). The green color is so much richer and better in person than pictured online.
Spring Sneaker: I’ve kicked up my workout routine and these sneakers have been so comfy for my latest obsession: cardio barre (picture your mom’s 80s step class meeting barre)… I look so silly doing it but it’s been a fun one to take with girlfriends and I leave dripping in sweat. Wearing with these socks which have been the best longer sock style I’ve found yet.
I went to a spring Celine preview yesterday and this cute bag caught my eye. It also comes in ivory (and with a shoulder strap)… and is just one of those ideal smaller sizes for spring / summer. The shape is so much better in person than this photo shows!
I’m not as into logos but I’ll forever have a soft spot for Celine! And just being at this preview yesterday made me want to pull out an older Triomphe bag of mine that doesn’t get as much love these days.
My husband surprised me (5 or so years ago)… with the mini Triomphe bag on a trip and I’ve thought about selling it over the past couple years since I rarely use it anymore… but it brings me so much joy thinking of that exact moment he came back to our hotel room with it and surprised me! Just typing this out makes me want to pull it back out soon… I say I’m a good closet editor … but then I also have a hard time parting with those sentimental pieces that remind me of a special moment, person or trip. How do you think about those more sentimental pieces?!
Which brings me back to more of how I’ve been feeling lately when people ask me about specific trends ~ let’s just wear what we love!!
